KN1B · NODE 54218 · ON THE AIR

Every mode finds
a way to the Doghouse.

One bridge. Five networks. No radio left out.

The Doghouse Network ties AllStarLink, EchoLink, YSF, and two DMR talkgroups together, so operators on completely different systems can hear — and talk to — each other.

Streams live audio straight from the network — hear what's actually moving across it right now.

The Bridge

Five communities. One reflector. Everyone hears everyone.

ALLSTARLINK
Node 54218 — KN1B's own radio & IAX2 access
YSF
Reflector "US Doghouse" — Yaesu System Fusion
TGIF
DMR talkgroup 36940
HAMUNITED
DMR talkgroup 36940
Why It's Worth Connecting

You don't need every radio. You just need one way in.

🐾

One network instead of five

A DMR hotspot, a YSF radio, and an EchoLink app can all be in the same conversation — no extra hardware required to reach the others.

📣

Severe weather, automatically

Active National Weather Service watches and warnings for Titusville & Brevard County, FL announce automatically, across every bridged network.

🕐

Time & weather, on the hour

A short, routine announcement plays every hour — handy background awareness while you're working the bands.

🏠

One meeting place, always open

"Let's meet at the Doghouse" is a simple way to guarantee two operators on different modes can actually hear each other.

📻 By Radio

  • Pi-Star firmware Most common hotspot firmware — link YSF to "US-Doghouse," or DMR to TG 36940 on TGIF and HamUnited.
  • Have a repeater instead of a personal hotspot? It can join too — but the exact path depends on what kind of repeater it is, and it's always the trustee's call, not an individual member's:
DMR repeater (MMDVM-based controller) — set its master server to TGIF or HamUnited, talkgroup 36940, same as a hotspot would.
Fusion/YSF repeater — only works if the repeater's controller is MMDVM-based (e.g. Pi-Star/WPSD driving real repeater hardware); link it to "US-Doghouse" directly. A genuine Yaesu Wires-X-only repeater (HRI-200) can't reach a YSF reflector directly — that needs a separate radio-in-PDN-mode bridge, which Yaesu doesn't make easy.
AllStarLink-enabled repeater — if its controller runs Asterisk/app_rpt, it can link straight to node 54218.
Trustees interested in linking a system in should reach out (see Contact, below).

📱 By Mobile

  • EchoLink iOS & Android — connect to KN1B-L
  • DVSwitch Mobile Android — reaches node 54218 directly
  • DroidStar iOS & Android — YSF, DMR, AllStarLink, no extra hardware
  • RepeaterPhone iOS — EchoLink or AllStarLink, paid app

💻 By Computer

  • EchoLink Windows — connect to KN1B-L
  • DroidStar Windows, Mac, Linux — YSF, DMR, AllStarLink
  • BlueDV Windows — YSF/DMR, needs a DVMEGA/ThumbDV/Star*DV dongle

📡 The Two DMR Networks Bridged Here

TGIF and HamUnited are separate, independently-run DMR networks — both happen to carry talkgroup 36940 into this bridge, but joining one doesn't automatically join the other.

TGIF Network
Free account at tgif.network (verify your callsign/email, generate a security key) — plus a free DMR ID from RadioID.net if you don't already have one. Enter the security key and TG 36940 into your hotspot or repeater's DMR config.
HamUnited
Free account at hamunited.com — plus a free DMR ID from RadioID.net if you don't already have one. Same idea as TGIF: register, get your credentials, set TG 36940 in your hotspot or repeater.

⌨️ AllStarLink-Only Command Reference

These DTMF commands are specific to AllStarLink — they have no effect on DMR (TGIF, HamUnited), YSF, or EchoLink. Sent on your own radio while keyed up on your own AllStarLink node, to reach node 54218.
